Intervention and Splinting Timeline

Updated: May 30, 2025

5 days old - Saw Dr. Waters at OrthoCarolina. Received diagnosis and was shown how to start stretching.

6 days old- Daddy made his first hand splints out of a car keychain, a finger splint, athletic wrap and tape.

6 weeks old - Started Physical Therapy with Jenn at Chit Chat. (1x weekly)

7 weeks old - Started Physical Therapy with Lindsey and Regina at Carolina Therapeutics. (2x weekly)

9 weeks old - Started Kinesiology Tape and larger home-made hand splints made out of a shoe insert and finger splints.

10 weeks old - Bought an Otteroo for water therapy during bath time


3 months old - Custom Benik hand/wrist splints and started play therapy with SC Early Intervention (1x weekly)
4 months old - Benik elbow splints (wouldn't recommend by the way. They ended up not helping)


7 months old - Started OT with Ashley, Carolina Therapeutics. (1x weekly) He now gets seen 5 days a week! : )

0-7 month daily home workout sheet
8 months old - First visit to Shriner's Greenville to see Dr. Ray (AMC uppers specialist) and OT eval. OT made new custom hand splints.

7 month-current daily home workout sheet

10 months- new custom elbow splints
12 months- new custom hand splints from Shriners and updated elbow splints with more flexion
