We are so very happy with the amount of progress our little man has made in 9 months. We have worked SO HARD and are thrilled to see it paying off. He defintley has a long way to go and many new challenges ahead of him, but today I'd like to share all the wins!

Here is my famous daily schedule that has been the key to his success. In addition to Jax being seen 4 times a week by 3 Physical Therapists and 1 Occupational Therapist, we work to complete this checklist EVERY DAY. If I don't get it all done, I definitely feel mom guilt because his success is in our hands.
At 9 months, Jax can now roll both ways, sit on his bottom and reach up about half way, reach for toys next to him, hold/grasp light rattles and toys, pinch with his thumb and pointer finger, rotate 360 degrees on his bum by shifting his legs, and make us laugh all day long with his goofiness.
Through all our stretching, we have made progress with his passive movement. This is what he can physically move if we do it for him (as opposed to the joints being stiff and not moving before). Hopefully, these passive movements will turn into intentional movement by Jax one day. Passively, we can lift his arms up to his head, bend his elbows to his mouth with his right and almost with his left, his wrists can now be stretched straight with some slight positive flex, and his fingers can be flexed down slightly and are working towards making a fist.
All of these achievements are ones that we didn’t know would be possible. To be honest, he could stop making progress any day but I believe that if we keep working he will continue to improve. A lot of people have asked me if we know what is possible. Since every case is different, we really don’t. What I do know is that I’ve seen some success stories out there and I’m going to continue to do everything that I can to give him the best future possible.
Jax is also in the running to be Baby of the Year! If you would like to show your support we would love for you to vote using the following link. You can vote for free once a day! Thank you everyone who has been keeping him in the running so far. We really appreciate your votes!
